Each year, the amazing sustainability team at the Salt Palace Convention Center gives new life to leftover event materials—and some of those treasures are heading to our students! Thanks to their commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle, and with support from the Ogden School Foundation and the MarketStar Student Resource Center, these backpacks will be a back-to-school surprise for students who need them most. 💛

At Mount Ogden Junior High, we are proud to introduce the MYP Community Project for all 9th graders as part of their advisory experience. This important project gives students the opportunity to explore and take action on one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, addressing real-world issues that impact our global community. Through this process, students will develop important skills like research, problem-solving, communication, and reflection—all while making a meaningful difference. The Community Project is a powerful way for students to grow as IB learners and responsible global citizens, and we can't wait to see the incredible ideas and actions our Rams will bring to life!

We are thrilled to announce that Mount Ogden Junior High is now an officially authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP school! This is a huge milestone and a reflection of our commitment to providing a high-quality, globally minded education for every student. Ogden School District’s Summer Meals Program officially begins today, offering free breakfast and lunch to all children ages 0 to 18 at participating school and community locations. Breakfast will be served from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. at designated school sites, while lunch will be available at all participating locations from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
